weather & cancellation policy
At Central Padel, we love keeping everyone out on court and having fun, but sometimes the Central Otago weather has other ideas!
Here’s how we handle weather disruptions and cancellations for our outdoor courts in Cromwell.
1. standard cancellations
You can cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before your booking time through Playtomic for a full refund or credit.
Cancellations made within 48 hours are normally non-refundable unless the weather makes play unsafe or impossible (see below).
2. weather disruptions
Padel is an all-weather sport, but safety and enjoyment always come first.
Light rain or mild weather is generally playable thanks to good drainage, but we’ll always check the surface to make sure it’s safe
If heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, hail, snow, or ice make the courts unsafe or unplayable, you can cancel or reschedule your booking.
3. who makes the call
The final decision rests with Central Padel staff, based on court safety and playing conditions. Please email us play@centralpadel.co.nz
We’ll always aim to keep you informed promptly and fairly.
4. if your session is cancelled
If weather stops play, don’t worry, you’ll have options!
You’ll need to email us so we can sort it for you play@centralpadel.co.nz
You can choose to:
✅ Receive a credit in your Playtomic account for a future booking
✅ Request a refund to your original payment method

Please make sure your contact details in Playtomic are up-to-date
We recommend bringing a towel and light jacket, Central Otago weather can switch up fast!
